*GALLERY BELOW DESCRIPTION*

Names Joe Ketter II, resident of the tundra that is Minnesota. My work has been featured in "The Art Of The Ancients" calendar by Derek McLean. I'm a knapper that prefers working points out of cobbles, spalls, flakes, and rough - using traditional reduction methods. I keep a simple tool kit of both abo and copper for percussion, but for my points that are finished with pressure I almost always use a copper nail pressure flaker. I'm also a collector, and that perspective has played a big part in how i run my gallery and create each posting. Hopefully fellow collectors will appreciate my efforts in this regard. I process down all my material from spalling, bifacing, and heat treating. Some of my favorites to work are Agates and various Chalcedony, but I'm equally a huge fan of cherts and flints - I love all rock. I put in considerable effort to source some of my materials. My goals are to show what can be achieved with traditional knapping - fine flaking and symmetry, from rough rock and spall to finished point, can be accomplished with just ones hands and a basic set of tools, whether antler or copper tipped. As well as make some bad-ass lithic art, and get a point with my scribe on it in your case! All points come diamond scribed and dated- JKII 20xx. I scribe on the lower half of the B-side.

NO grinders, jigs, blanks, trimmed pressure slabs or fog. All points flintknapped by hand with traditional methods. (Nothing wrong with the various forms of point creation, to each their own, but transparency about how we create our points is important to many collectors, myself as a collector included.)
