Ryan Clifford

I have been flint knapping for about 12 years. I live and grew up in Wyoming and developed an interest in knapped artifacts as a teenager when I started finding them. I was constantly amazed by the incredible craftsmanship that goes into making stone points and tools. I also felt a connection with the people that made them and used them sometimes thousands of years before they were found. I developed a strong interest in trying to learn the trade and to replicate points from the past. Thus began my flibtknapping journey. I have learned that there are endless intricacies involved and I enjoy continued learning.

I knap using primarily copper tools although I have also done some knapping with traditional tools. I enjoy making smaller point styles such as cahokias and Gunthers. Most of the points that I make are from small spalls, flakes or slabs.

I accept payment on PayPal, check or money order. If a check is used, the item will ship once payment is received. Thank you for checking out my work.
