Have a cool find you want to know more about? Bring in your Native American artifacts, fossils, rocks, and minerals—we would love to see what you’ve got! Let’s gather, remember, celebrate, share memories, and swap stories among friends. Vendors, guests, and families—anyone is welcome!

Hocking Hills Knap-in and craft show is a growing event. We are in Ohio largest beer garden and in the center of the Hocking Hills. Sponsored by Amvets Post 1776. Setup is from Thursday to Saturday morning. The day starts with a Breakfast by donation. There is music from very good band. We are in the process of getting electric to the area. Free camping and Free parking included in the price of tickets for the public, vendors only pay for their setup fee (we may have an Auction from donation from vendors and have the fees from vendors that way If we can get good feedback on it from vendors) all activities must stop at 10:30pm keep up to date at our website as its updated monthly.

Kampsville Knap-In at McCully Heritage Project 592 Crawford Creek Rd, Kampsville, IL Friday, October 9, 2026 starting at noon Saturday, October 10, 2026

Flintknapping demonstrations and tutorials, atlatl range, game field for Chunkey and Cherokee Marbles, other demonstrations of primitive skills, native plant walks.

Artifact identification with archaeologists from the IL State Archaeological Survey (Saturday 10:00 to 2:00 pm.) Tent camping, fishing, hiking available at the 940 acre McCully Heritage Project. Showerhouse and restroom available on site. (Campsites will be blocked for Knap-In, so call if you're planning on camping.)

When: Saturday January 30, 2027 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Where: Letchworth State Park, New York Conference Center (must enter the park through the Castile Entrance) Directions to the Letchworth Conference Center Enter at the Castile Entrance to Letchworth State Park (open year round) Turn right onto Park Rd heading south toward the Glen Iris Inn Continue on Park Rd passing the Letchworth Gift Shop and Inspiration Point Just past Inspiration point bear right at the New York First Dragoons Monument, you will be on a service road; Continue on this service road, you will continue past Trout Pond Rd, the road bears right and you will find yourself among a number of park service buildings- turn left and you will see the Conference Center and its parking area.

Knap-in will be held indoors in the comfort of the Conference Center (sorry, no pets permitted in this facility)

Open to the public- visitors are welcome!

Knap-In: Participants are welcome and encouraged to bring primitive and knapping-related items supplies for display sale during the event on Saturday.

Meals: As no concessions will be available, everyone is encouraged to provide a dish-to-pass and BYOB for a potluck lunch during the knap-in on Saturday.
