Pocket Full o Rocks

SHIPPING INCLUDED ON ALL POINTS WITHIN THE UNITED STATES!

I got started just like most knappers, I had a love for the arrowheads that I had found as a child on my grandfathers farm. Even at that age I wondered how Indians made them, and more than that, how they could make a living with them. As a teenager I tried making points with a 12 penny nail and flakes that I had found. I had very little success.
In later years, after getting married and having two sons I again was sparked with interest. We were on vacation in Branson MO when I came across a book written by D C Waldorf, The Art of Flintknapping. I bought the book, found some rock to buy and quickly turned it all into gravel. Several years later I attended a weekend class on flintknapping at Poverty Point in NE Louisiana. That event set me on fire for knapping and I am still good friends with some of the guys I met there. I also learned about attending knap-ins. Every aspiring knapper should go to knap-ins. Knappers are some of the friendliest people and they are willing to help anyone get started knapping.
I enjoy making large blades, small bird points, and fluted points. I have used a wide variety of materials including Georgetown and other tabular TX flints, novaculite, and Louisiana gravel. Most of the local points I find are made of this chert source.
Thank you for looking at my work. If you have any questions or if you would like a custom point or blade my e-mail address is: knapperdnl@yahoo.com. I accept checks, money orders, and take Pay-Pal. Shipping charges are figured into all prices and will be shipped Priority Mail or First class. Points will be shipped ASAP.
