Paleoarts

My name is Chris Henry and I have been fascinated with stoneage technology ever since I was a small child. When other kids were out playing with hot wheels, you would more likely find me sharpening sticks, building forts, or trying to catch the local pets in box traps. I've always been amazed at the ingenuity our ancestors displayed in carving out a living from hostile environments with nothing but what they could find around them. Mostly simple, always practical, and often elegant, their solutions to survival in a dangerous world never cease to amaze me. The shear inventiveness of these items makes it absolutely plain to me that early man was just as intelligent as we are today. Maybe more so since he didn't have the resources or references available in our modern world. When he was confronted with a problem, there was only tribal lore and his own imagination at hand. And yet, with nothing more than wood, stone, and bone, he managed to colonize just about every corner of the globe before the invention of farming or even the wheel! Here at Paleoarts, I've tried to capture the spirit of those early inventors in the pieces I create. As the name implies, I try to look at their creations as works of art, practical tools and weapons to be sure, but with an eye towards aesthetics. I'm hoping you can share in my appreciation for their craft and that you enjoy my work. Feel free to contact me with any questions about custom designs, pricing, and shipping. Thank you! - Chris Henry
