Hi I'm Barney DeSimone. I've been knapping since the mid-80s. I started making arrow points out of glass and obsidian and progressed into larger and more complex pieces. Like a lot of knappers, I was fortunate to meet and learn from some great knappers, among them Dr Errett Calahan. I've met many amateur and semi-professional knappers and have always come away with something useful for my work. I'm especially indebted to Steve Carter who was always willing to share his vast expertise. Thanks to all of my fellow knappers for sharing your knowledge and materials over these many years.
