LAcountryboy10

I am an avid Louisiana arrowhead collector and knapper. Learned to knapp on my own about ten years ago and thought I was the only person on earth that knew how to do it. Obviously I have figured out otherwise, but because I learned on my own I have different tecniques than most others. I specialize in reproducing all Louisiana style birdpoints, and also occasionally larger LA types. The key to my success is that I use local material to make local point types and that I do not try to produce perfection. The indians in this area were on average very poor knappers, and to reproduce them you must knapp to their level and this is a big challenge for most knappers. My goal is to produce reproductions that when held side by side to the real thing are indistinguishable. I acheive this through several unique actions that few other knappers do. I am not a faker but I want my buyers to be able to fill a hole in a frame of authentics with one of my reproductions. I do engrave all my works with a Diamond tipped pen, if you would like me to sign in some other way let me know. My email adress is chg008@latech.edu
