This massive bull (faux buffalo) pelvic bone is embedded with an unusually large, thin Wintu point created by Cliff Carney from an optic grade quartz crystal. Note the entries.
It scares me to hold this point, so I made the bone display.
I have had this point for many years. I don’t have room for all the blades and points I’ve collect from the many talented lithic artists……and at times I need to eat and put fuel in my truck. So I now offer it to a new caretaker.
The point embedded bone (ancient patina) reminds me of Kennewick Man, one tough hombre…..a similar configuration, yet he carried a Haskett rather than a Wintu.
The point and display shall be mailed separately. The bone is very large and heavy. Postage is $40 and if the cost is less, I shall reimburse the difference. |
