I’m just about done with listing fossilized walrus tusk which I procured many years past. Here’s a substantial chunk, ancient as it is legal. It was found by accident while digging a hole on private property in Alaska. When it was unearthed, the squared off cut was present, so it was previously used by a Native up in the cold Northwest.
For anyone interested in working it for resale, depending on where they would be sold, it may be prudent to photo this tusk in it’s present state and during process, as it may be lighter at the core, which could be interpreted as new, which it is not. It is not deeply brown stained
Great for Pacific Northwest Replicas. Retail for medium chunks of tusk is $145/pound. This piece weighs just over one half pound.
Here I go again…… coming July 1st California law shall make any and all ivory illegal to sell....so now's the time.
