This is a skinny SW style Gatlin point made out of a colorful piece of yellow sunset jasper. It has just a hint of reddish on one side from the heat treating process. This kind of point is found in association with Hohokam points. There are some archaeological examples of these that were skinny and finely serrated like this one. Key hole notches and fine serrations. They're always a pain to make but always worth it I think. |
