This is a Hopewellian pipe that I've been wanting to make for a while but didn't have just the right stone. I am including the only pic of the original I found online. This pipe made from a blackish Soapstone. This pipe is so dark that I had a hard time showing the detail of the beak and nostrils. The original probably had fresh water pearls for eyes. I don't have river pearls, so I used whitetail antler instead. |
