This Northern side notch Crump Lake style point is made out of hard to get 'hole in the wall' agate from a claim in Nevada. This beautiful pale yellow material comes from a remote location but was packed surprisingly long distances by native peoples. Serrated edges and expanding notches with a sort of 'heart' shaped profile and needle tip is what is typical of the better made northern side notched points from this region This was a fairly good sized piece and it looks like translucent lemon meringue filling to me. I don't have very much of this stuff. Wish I did! |
