I had a number of extra Columbia River points that I made for the Knapping calendar that didn't end up in the photo shoot so here's one of them.This point is made from some Columbia plateau agate. Cascade 'willow leaf' points as they are often called, were a common early type of point all throughout the far west and along the Columbia basin and are common in the old sites. This one is serrated like many of the old ones were. They don't have the finiese of a gunther or sweep winged point but they were a stout effective dart point. it has a nice translucency to it. |
