Someone asked me if I would try making what’s called a ‘Stockton Curve’ as they’re called so here’s one. These are a very rare CA type item associated with Stockton points but only found on a few sites in a very small area. They were probably some kind of ceremonial necklace item I would guess like maybe an obsidian imitation of a grizzly bear claw or something like that. It was tricky to make and took longer than I thought. I percussion flaked it out of a flat piece of dark dacite then finished it with pressure then serrated it like the originals were. |
