I was in a Crump Lake sort of mood today. This serrated expanding notched Crump Lake Northern Side Notch Point is make out of black and mahogany obsidian with gold sheen that flashed on one side in the mahogany red color. This one I made from a big spall and percussioned and pressure flaked it down the old way ...just because. They really did make points this nice and elaborate in SE Oregon's Warner Valley. Nicely serrated like the old ones were with expanding notches. These were used as atlatl dart points on big game and no doubt did the job well. |
