A substantial and beautifully executed Savannah River Stemmed, knapped from pink novaculite with real care and skill. At five and three-eighths inches, this is a large, authoritative point — the kind of piece that anchors a collection. The flaking is tight and deliberate across both faces, with clean shoulders and a well-defined stem. The pink novaculite gives it a warm, distinctive color that photographs well and stands out in any display. A solid Late Archaic example in a classic Southern type, in excellent condition. |
