These points are just after clovis, and have a wide distribution, though the more shouldered forms I think are more common in the southern ranges. Examples like this one are often Plano convex and often have occurrence of basal thinning on one or both faces. Silicified sandstone is also a common material used. This one is antler and horn punch flaking and stem shaping w horn pressure. |
