Ever wonder how a Wintu point looks on a Wintu arrow? Here you go! This arrow is coped very closely after an original old Wintu arrow. It is a compound or two part arrow with the fore shaft made of service berry with an obsidian Wintu point set in the notch with pitch and sinew. The main shaft is made of ssyringa and has Canada goose secondary feathers for fletchings all wrapped with sinew. Soot and orangish earth ochres are used for paint crests on this arrow. The fletch length, paint crests and colors are exact copies and sizes from the old original. The Wintu lived in the Northern Sacramento Valley of CA and were neighbors of the Yana and Yahi, Ishi's people.
