Well I had a strange customer who communicated with cryptic texts who said he wanted this arrow at a discount. I agreed but then he said he'd only pay $80 and only $8.00 for shipping. So, $35 less than retail?? no deal!!! Seth Novak what kind of a pathetic scammer are you? Be warned everybody. I can deal but I won't be screwed like that.. So back to what this is...This replica ancient Anasazi arrow is copied from old original specimens found in the SW four corners area. The main shaft is made of phragmities marsh cane, all carefully straightened with heat. The inserted fore shaft is wild rose and the small obsidian point is set in its notch with pitch and sinew lashings. Red ochre and a greenish earth pigment are used for the crest colors. Often times little lines or spirals were scratched into the paint after it had dried like on this arrow. This arrow has a hard wood inserted bow string nock plug like many of the originals had. The fletch is wild turkey wing feathers lashed at each end with sinew. Many of these ancient arrows have been found cached away in various places of the American South West. They were usually shot from long skinny bows that were round in cross section and often made from scrub oak.
