This nice long dagger point is made out of a ketchup red piece of Oregon sunset jasper. Fine ribbon flaking and a sleek form show this piece off. It is thought that dagger points were worn on a necklace and were some kind of warriors status or achievement symbol. They're too dainty to mount on an arrow and shoot and many years ago some were found affiliated with male burials up in the neck area.
