This sleek little dagger point is made from a nice red piece of Oregon Sunset jasper. It sports tiny fine ribbon flaking and is in the form of the old ones which were probably strung on necklace of some kind. Based on finds dating many years ago, they seem only be associated with male burials so they were probably a part of some kind of men's status or even a warriors necklace. Very little is known about them but they certainly weren't used on arrows due to their tiny size. They also are nearly always made out of colorful material. |
