Not all Wintu points from Northern CA were this radical in shape and serrations but a few of them were. I got to see some originals recently and some had very swept in edges with deep larger than usual serrations which most Wintu points from this region don't have. So...I got inspired by the old guys and had to see what I could come up with. Probably at least 95% of the old Wintu points are all of obsidian which they had plenty of in their country. This one is black with mahogany red streaks in it. |
