Here is a simple stone ground hand axe with an elk hide wrap. A solid crystallized sandstone type rock ground to a perfect chisel edge. Well shaped, solid, and feels good in the hand.
Another from my Primitive tools collection. Tools were made to be functional and lasting. No time, supplies, or resources were wasted in making tools. As tools wore down they were re-sharpened and became many different tools throughout their life time. An axe head would become a hand scraper then a small knife, then a hand drill.

Thickness: 3/4 inch with wrap
