Can you spot the wood grain in this fossilized wood arrowhead? The original wood was replaced with common opal, giving it a cream colored, waxy luster. This Eastgate point style was common in many areas in the Great Basin and westward, including parts of California, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington.
