Talk about a uniquely shaped arrowhead!!!

The Hollow Base Arrowheads were characteristic of the Egyptian Neolithic through the Middle Predynastic Periods (about 5,300-3300 B.C.) (about 7,321-5321 years ago).

It was a challenging point for flintknappers to flake with the long "ears", but was probably very effective due to its technique of mounting it to an arrow. The arrowhead would fit in a shallow groove in the shaft so that the inside of the base fit snuggly against the wood, thus giving the point added strength.

Shipping and handling in the U.S. is $5.50. |
