This is one very unique piece. I can say with some certainty that it would stand out in any flint knapping collection. This knife measured over the curve is about 11 inches long. This handle is a nontypical black tail deer antler that made a right turn after a few inches. It also has an eye guard that palmated quite a bit adding to the character of this unique piece. This knife does stand on its own but it would be prone to falling over fairly easy, so I have added an oak base 6 1/2 by 4 3/8 inches. There is a pin, secure in the base that fits into a small hole in the edge of the burr. The hole is very small and camouflaged in the curves and bumps of the burr. This might be the most unusual knife I have ever made and it felt so good for the artist in myself to come out. If it does not sell soon, I might very well add this to my personal collection This is such a unique piece and would certainly stand out in any knife or flint knapping collection. The blade has been hafted to the antler handle with resins and artificial sinews. This is a beautiful piece for the flint knapping collection or to resell at a pow wow or rendezvous.
