This is a hand carved spoon from a California Manzanita branch, by a good friend, Charlie Johnson....... 40 years ago.
This is a traditional Sierra Nevada native Miwok/Miwuk type spoon.
Manzanita grows out West, from B.C. to Mexico.
There's a natural worm burrowed hole at the top.
The last photo shows the Manzanita tree.
Many hours went into this creation.
