I was fortunate enough to see a killer Ohio collection a few days before Christmas this year and here is a replica of a Lost Lake from that collection. I was able to get the point on loan to study and was inspired to make this peice. Size,thickness,base,bevel, notches and flake scars are 99% identical to the old one and the materials are almost identical. Hammer stone percussioned beveled with antler tine base is ground to a polish notches lightly ground and notched with Buffalo rib bone that was dressed before every C cone was taken. Blade is Blues,Grey's,White,Tan,Brown and Olive Green. |
