Some of the ancient Mayan eccentrics had one or more face profiles on them. After studying the shape of these profiles in detail, I started to replicate them in selected eccentrics that I knapped. I flintknapped this particular mahogany obsidian eccentric with a face profile, head dress, and serpentine body (all elements that famous Mayan eccentrics are known for), but in my own style of knapping. I have signed and dated this lithic art piece with a diamond tipped scribe.
