This thin Laurel leaf blade is made out of gray dacite. I was shooting for about an 11 to one thickness ratio but didn’t quite get there. Turned out pretty good just the same. These blades are tricky to make without popping in half. Mostly percussion flagged with some minimal pressure retouch. Laurel leaf blades were found in the European neolithic period . |
