Stunning, absolutely stunning. This is a large point knapped from some of the most outrageously colored Piranha Agate one could hope for. The colors remind me of northwestern sunsets accented by volcanic eruptions. It would be hard to imagine better colors and patterns. The point has great mass, beautiful flaking, and micro serrated edging. The notches are not that deep due to an old fracture which had not completely healed. My notch flakes stopped at the color ribbon so I did not push it in hopes of not blowing this piece up. Luckily it was solid enough to knap and it stayed together to create this piece of art. You could look a life time and not find such a piece of agate. |
