This Lassen blue obsidian was dug up over 25 years ago and its next to impossible to find this high quality of color anymore. Fortunately a friend offered me some in a material trade and I've been searching for more of it ever since. Unlike most obsidians from the U.S. the color is solid in this material and doesn't require sunlight to show off its colors. Thanks for viewing. The edges are lightly ground smooth after it was flaked. The long beads are made from buffalo bone.
