The rabbit stick, otherwise known as the north american boomerang, was an incredibly effective and important weapon to many cultures, especially in the american southwest, and responsible for up to 90% of their protein. Thrown correctly it will travel upwards of 100 yards with its airplane wing cross section creating lift and causing it to skim just above the ground. Silent and with a wide profile it is an excellent weapon for hunting rabbits, squirrels, turkeys, and other ground dwelling small game. Pictured here in highly figured lightly oiled incense cedar.
