Inspired by a classic Alaskan atlatl. Arctic cultures designs are some of my favorites. Always practical but with an elegance and ingenuity unmatched anywhere else in the world. This thrower is my take on theirs that was used for launching harpoons from a kayak or skin boat. Longer, thinner, and with more of an 'in-line' configuration, mine is ideal for delivering large or small darts with maximum torque and accuracy. Crafted from a single piece of clear figured cherry and finished to a glass like shine.
