Knife #203- The blade is dark blue glass from a studio light lens that Corning made in 1938 for Hollywood, which was just starting to produce color movies at that time. If a lens had a bubble or other defect it was rejected. I obtained a number of the rejected lenses in various colors early in my knapping career. This cool color is just about gone. The handle is “Abyss” Acrylester (synthetic). |
