More like a weighted flying net than an actual bolo, this weapon was used to great effect in taking down waterfowl in flight. Held by the central axis and thrown underhand upwards into the path of ducks and geese, it entangles their wings and forces them to the ground. The weights are deer antler and the cords a mix of waxed and starched hemp. |
