A classic Lithic display with a flint knapped arrowhead hafted to a broken Poplar arrow shaft with natural elk sinew and wrapped with real horse mane.
I hope you enjoy this nice visual display. The antler piece I chose is rugged yet adds a graceful flowing effect to the stand. The base is a lovely piece of Basswood, thick and with the bark still intact. The broken arrow symbolizes trial, battle, or peace. Natives would tie locks of their horses’ mane to the shaft of their arrows for sure-footed guidance to their enemies heart. The point is an Oklahoma chert, un-treated and tough. It is thin, sharp and has great character.
Arrowhead: 3 1/2 x 1 1/2
Arrow total: 12
Antler height: 6 1/2
Basswood Base: 11 x 7
