I enjoy creating pipes using methods incorporated so very long ago. By alternately pecking with a clear fork biface and grinding with a piece of sandstone, the pipestone takes the shape of a tube pipe very quickly. The bowl was not drilled but carved out, conically tapered with some of the gouge marks remaining as evidence. I completed this tube pipe with a very light polish leaving it with a pecked finish. This is a fully functional pipe.
