Here is a nice little Gunther point made out of heat treated dark red rhyolite. It’s actually darker than it shows in the photos. This material looks an awful lot like Franciscan chert from Northwest California and Southwest Oregon. This would be a stout little shooter if somebody actually used it for hunting as the material is tough but workable. |
