One of my favorite effigy pipes and, I believe, my best so far. This pipe is made from some Wisconsin Soapstone I picked up at the Central States Atlatl Championship event held alongside the Osage knap-in held near Boonville, MO this spring. Nice rock, semi-hard. Not the softer carveable stuff.
The eyes are made from a whitetail deer antler tine.
The last pic is what I tried to replicate. |
