I recently achieved an item on my bucket list.
Since the 1980's I have wanted to go to Nevada and collect the Gemfield chalcedony/jasper for flintknapping. After finally doing that this last month, I've started knapping the stone I had collected, and this is the first finished piece that I have chipped from this self collected material. I love experiencing the whole process from collecting to shaping it into a finished stone tool! And now, I can pass it along to you for your enjoyment.
