Patterned after the iconic Aztec 'maquahutil', this war club has alligator gar scales in place of the usual obsidian blades. The alligator gar is a prehistoric looking fish that, in fact, is little changed since the age of the dinosaurs and sports some of the most impressive armor of any animal alive today. Its scales are harder than most bone or antler and sharper than shark teeth. Many native tribes used them as projectile points for this very reason. Here they have been drilled and corseted into a white oak handle with beeswax coated hemp cordage to form a true 'terror' weapon. Special thanks to Justin Garnet for the scales.
