This fossil coral is preserved in a translucent agate, and started its' journey in Pasco County, Florida. The stone was hand picked from the Pearl Yoder Quarry by flintknapper, Robert Shute, traveled to Alaska with him, and then was traded to me for some other knappable stone. It was a treasure for me to flintknap, having worked as a paleontologist for 20 years in California. What a fantastic journey! Will it be in your collection next?
