This is a flat-out gorgeous piece. Knapped from premium Ohio Flintridge flint, this 3¾" E-notch point shows off everything that makes Flintridge so sought after — swirling greens, creamy whites, and burnt orange flowing through the stone like a painting. Both faces photograph beautifully, each showing a slightly different face of the same spectacular material.
The real showstopper is the drusy crystal pocket near the tip — a natural geode void exposed during knapping, lined with sparkling microcrystalline quartz. The knapper worked right through it and kept going, and the result is a piece that's as much a geological specimen as it is a display point.
Execution is clean throughout — tight, controlled flaking, crisp E-notches, and a needle tip that survived intact despite the crystal inclusion. This one took skill and a little nerve.
