What a striking piece. Phil Love knocked this one out of some gorgeous Flintridge flint — that soft sky blue bleeding into creamy white is classic Flint Ridge chalcedony at its best, and this particular piece has exceptional color saturation throughout the blade.
The E-notches are clean and symmetrical, the blade is well-thinned with confident percussion work across both faces, and the point is nicely centered. At 4.5 inches it has real presence — this is a display piece that turns heads.
Phil needs no introduction to this community. His work is consistent, his technique is solid, and his pieces hold their value. This one is a keeper or a great addition to a modern-knapper collection.
