Happy New Year all! This colorful little point is a Mississippian style and is called a 'Huffaker' point according to the info I read about them. Personally, I think they're close relatives to Cahokia points and Toyah points but are smaller and found from Texas all the way to Canada so they're essentially a late period point and some are festooned with serrations and needle tips. This one is made out of some colorful Ohio flint ridge with greenish patches and cinnamon colored red splotches. |
