Still been getting a lot of inquiry on this kind of point so here's yet another one. A while back someone sent me a photo of an eccentric Cahokia point that had just been found. I’ve never seen one quite like this,even from the large Cahokia collection of points from the excavations. The material on this point is colorful, Flint Ridge, with peach, greenish and red in it. It would almost be something one would expect to see from the Oklahoma Spiro mounds, but it was a Cahokia local find. |
