Someone sent me a photo of an eccentric Cahokia point that had just been found. I’ve never seen one quite like this,even from the large Cahokia collection of points from the excavations. So naturally, I had to make one so here’s my first attempt at it. The material on this point is colorful, Flint Ridge, with bluish and cream coloration to it that unfortunately, the photo washed out for some reason. I don’t have a clear photo of the original point found, but it was much like this. It would almost be something one would expect to see from the Oklahoma Spiro mounds, but it was a Cahokia local find. Anyway, here’s a new type right out of the workshop. |
