I made this from a deer metapodial, and signed & dated it with a diamond tipped scribe. In the Western U. S. it tended to be one of the most popular bones for Native Americans to use in making awls. The awl had many possible functions, from basketry production to punching holes in leather for sewing. I have had fun using them myself. This particular piece has a beautiful polish to the bone.
Shipping and handling in the Continental U. S. is $4.50. |
