In the sunlight this obsidian catches a green iridescence, which can take you by surprise if you don't know it is there. When I work a stone into an eccentric I am often taken by surprise as to the shape that is released from the raw material. Usually my approach is to work it without a predetermined mental picture, and create it as I chip from one end to the other. This piece was a wonderful surprise! I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.
